Payroll by Wilmat Tour - Setup Wizard

Getting your Payroll by Wilmat system up and running is very simple. When you open the Payroll database for the first time you will be guided through setting up Payroll by the Setup Wizard. Vital parameters must be in place before commencing data entry for Payroll and it is highly recommended to use the Setup Wizard to get started.

The Setup Wizard consists of several screens. Follow the instructions on each page of the Setup Wizard.

Payroll can process pays on a combination of Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly pay cycles. Setting up the processing dates involves defining the payroll year start and end date and the first pay date for the Weekly, Fortnightly and Monthly pay cycles. Once you have established these dates click Processing Periods to review your payroll date settings.

Payroll has various options that allow you to tailor the operation of the system to your specific needs. The system has been setup with recommended option settings. Options can be changed at any time, so you may wish to leave the default options until you are more familiar with the operation of the system. Click on the Review Options button to view options.

Payroll has a series of Tax Tables which implement the various rates of taxation defined by the Australian Taxation Office. From time to time these rates will change. Payment of your Payroll by Wilmat Annual Support and Update fee gives you access to the updated Tax Tables. These can be obtained by contacting Wilmat. Click Review Tax Tables to check the tax tables installed on your system.

Your Payroll database should now be ready for you to commence the setting up your Employee details and payroll codes. You should also confirm that you have the correct tax taxble installed onto your system. Use the tax lookup facility to do some spot checks against a current tax deduction sheet.
